So, I realized I hadn’t posted in a while. And Camryn and I have been receiving requests to continue. So here goes:
Life is fairly interesting, especially with Christmas practically here. Camryn has been a gift-giving fanatic (i don’t mean this in a bad way at all – she just has been really excited to give everyone gifts) I, on the other hand, think that Christmas has come really fast -I still have to make part of Rachel’s present. Oh well.
School is out now. Thank goodness! My day yesterday consisted of caroling with my French horn with a bunch of other brass kids (we went to a bunch of places) and wondering why the boys in eighth grade are so bizzare.
Probably anybody reading this- the adults mainly- will say something along the lines of me being into boys, or wondering why I bring the subject up. Well, they were absolutely disgusting, thank you very much. Grace and I were stuck eating between a boy who was spewing saltines and a bunch of boys that were mixing mountain dew, jello, sweetener, ketchup, and who knows what else. Before the ketchup, they were passing it around, taking turns trying it. Honestly-what was going through their minds? But I guess what they lack in common sense, they make up for in brains in other fields. Half those boys are among the really smart kids in the grade, academically speaking. I see them in gifted class.
To tell the truth, Grace and I spent half the time watching the boys’ table. It was better than watching the chewed up crackers spewing from the boy at our table. HE was more inappropariate and annoying than weird, so yes, we watched the boys’ table. But maybe not for the reasons you think of when you hear of eighth grade girls watching an eighth grade boys’ table.
That was yesterday. Today we are making sugar cookies and READING. Ahh…the joy of reading leisurely….curling up with a good book and slipping into oblivion….
We went to the library and came back with literally fifty-five books. Eleven were mine. So you may not hear too much from me today.
Well, I think I have written enough for now!!!!! Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!!!!!

Oops. I forgot to blog. For more than a month. Probably a bad idea. But I have to leave for school soon and there’s not a whole lot to say that I can think of, so I’ll post again when I get home. Oh, and this is Camryn being a good blogger now. (ha ha Allie) (Allie, Sophie still says I’m better than you!)

Caleb has been very hyper as of late. And also funny.
Today at dinner, he told mom that Camryn would buy him a new nose. Puzzled, mom asked him why. He replied,”This one hurts me!” “Where will you get it? ” she asked.
“Because it hurts me!” This continued for a little while.
(While it may not sound as funny in a post, it was hilarious in person)
Camryn was looking over my shoulder while I was typing this, and Caleb started screaming at her to “Get away from there! Get away from there!” while dragging her back. And doing plenty of other things to make his audience laugh.(Camryn, Mom, me, and Dad)
He is also obsessed with the song “I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ”. It’s really quite adorable because he knows most of the words.
I know I don’t post too much but I am busy. Oh well.
(this was Allie in case you couldn’t tell)

Congratulations to those who helped the leaves in our yard become a great leaf pile. Their hard work has paid off.
The leaf pile has met my expectations! I am ready for my birthday on November 3. And the celebration on November 5. I spent ten minutes cannon-balling, “diving”, “splatting” (jumping from a branch of the maple and landing pancake-style) and traditional-jumping. It was quite fun.
Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The trunk or treat is in two hours ten minutes. Much of this will, for me, be spent jumping into that pile.
And, possibly, raking more leaves.
Good-bye, have a good Saturday!

Well, what is it?
A Certified Camryn Post is a post written by a professional- AKA Camryn (me). “Certified” confirms that it IS written by me and is 100% perfectly awesome. Any posts I write are Certified Camryn Posts. They are copyright 2010. So siblings (ahem Allie) can’t copy. All rights reserved–well, that’s self-explanatory. So there’s an explanation if you were confused.
Well, the leaf pile is significantly improved. After lunch, I’m spending 15 minutes raking. After that, I don’t mind if people jump. In fact, we’ll have a Jump-a-Thon! I know some people (ahem Rachel and Caleb) will be quite happy about that. Afterwards we do stuff for about 3 hours and then go to the trunk or treat. Possibly, if we all cooperate, the Jump-a-Thon will include a couple games of Fox and the Hens. Maybe.
All right, I’ve exhausted all possible blogging topics for right now.
GOODBYE!

The leaf pile would be a lot better bigger if it weren’t for Caleb the Hyper Excited Three-Year-Old. While I was raking Friday evening, he kept jumping in the pile no matter how many times I told him not to. And he kept doing it just to annoy me (or to get a reaction). So finally I had to create a separate little pile just for him. Which worked a little bit. Mostly the pile grew because when I kept raking he had to go in. And now just four days before failure deadline…
In other news, I am quite excited to be eleven. When Caleb heard last night that the big pile was for my birthday, he got in the car and while driving said “I want leaves for my birthday too!” And later, he told Rachel “You can come to my birthday party too. We will jump in leaves!” I guess he doesn’t realize that he has five years to go before a party.(For an explanation, contact Mom.)
And, the day of the Trunk or Treat has arrived. At 6pm tonight, three M&Ms, Little Bo Peep, and a black cat will report to the church. however, the cat is going to be at the trunk giving out candy since it’s 13 years old.
If any of you are there, remember:
I am the high-quality talking red original M&M.
Caleb is the sweet new orange M&M (he was jumping up and down to get into the costume).
Seth is the relatively new green M&M.
He knows I’m the coolest because I’m the original.
Rachel is Little Bo Peep who lost her sheep because it freaked out and ran away from its costume. It preferred being an orange M&M.
Allie is the black cat. (She’ll probably help with Caleb)
Well, don’t expect a post tomorrow, because we’ll probably be chomping candy. Or having a stomachache.
That’s all for now.
Goodbye.

once upon a time the formerly ashamed leaf pile began to grow. it was raked and added to and shaped. cartloads of other types of leaves were added. five days before the failure deadline, it was a good size. it stopped being ashamed and became a tiny bit proud of itself.
Well, isn’t that nice! Of course, that leaf pile is OUR leaf pile. It actually has grown quite a bit. I think the yard will be raked a LOT tomorrow (I organized a Rake-a-Thon) and will be pretty leafless- except for the trees and the pile. At that point, the leaf pile should be almost meeting my expectations. By late Tuesday afternoon, the leaf pile will have definitely met my expectations. And since Wednesdays are so hectic, even though Wednesday is my birthday, I won’t be celebrating it until the next day, a day off because of parent-teacher conferences. So I rake as much as possible then, and the Thursday leaf pile should just barely exceed my expectations.
gotta go
Bye!

Right now, i am craving Ghirardelli peppermint bark. The craving’s so strong no words can describe. And even Ghirardelli Square in CA itself doesn’t have it in stock till probably mid November. And it won’t be here in stores till December. And it costs like fifteen bucks on Amazon. And then shipping costs. i just want it so bad, it’s so good….
So if you happen to be a relative or friend who plans to get me a gift, keep this in mind.
Goodbye people.

Once upon a time there was a leaf pile whose raker considered it to be quite small. The leaf pile felt very ashamed. It was ashamed to be such a tiny pile that a grown man could not lay fully on its width. Nor could the leaf pile stand taller than a grown man. The leaf pile was quite ashamed. So ashamed that it wanted to grow very much. It had eight days before it would have truly failed in life. A life failure.
The leaf pile from this story is OUR leaf pile. It really is small (compared to our average leaf pile at this point in time). The eight-day period before failure is the eight days until my birthday on November 3rd. I’ll be 11, and it wouldn’t be the same without a giant leaf pile to jump in as usual. If our leaf pile had feelings, it would be ashamed. If it wasn’t, I could definitely make it be. Thankfully, it is no longer nonexistent, just fairly average for most other people. And the leaf blower thing helped, the old plastic toboggan helps for transporting oak-leaf piles to the main one by the maple tree, and more leaves have fallen but aren’t raked yet. Still things dont look the greatest.
Oh, and now on Wednesdays I have gymnastics from 6:30 to 8:00. Wednesdays are SO hectic.
Well, I ran out of Shakespearian farewells. Let’s try this businesslike one:
We have a meeting scheduled. It will be held at Doran Beach, CA, in July of 2011. Any day you can attend is fine. Good day.
Cordially,
Camryn

It’s Camryn. Yes, another post. i was just bored…so I decided to come here and bloooooog…about our life.
It will not be a very exciting post, though. Here’s what’s going on in our life:
You guessed it-nothing! Instead of an account of life over the past 24 hours, I’ll leave you with a brief description of our weekly schedule:
Monday afternoon- Seth has cub scouts, usually
Tuesday afternoon- nothing! It’s our free day.
Wednesday afternoon-(hectic) allie’s art class 4- 5:30, seth’s soccer 6-7, young women, sometimes FIG, 7-8
Thursday afternoon- (somewhat hectic) camryn piano 4- 4:30, seth piano 4: 30-5, rachel piano 6- 6:30, allie fencing 6:30-8(but it is a 1/2 hour away so she kind has to go with a friend and leave early to get there)
Friday afternoon- wow! currently another free day!
Saturday- soccer game, usually
Sunday- church, 11-2
Well, that’s all for today kids. Remember,…
Actually, let’s not use the VeggieTales farewell. Rather, my own slightly Shakespeare-ish one…
Farewell once more, friends. Be it in this decade or the next, let it transpire that we should all meet again on the shores of Doran Beach the Magnificent, placed in the glorious state of California.
