Just felt that deserved its own post.

English  yesterday was both rather mortifying and hilarious. I have sealed my fate as far as Romeo and Juliet is concerned….. loverly. (that’s not a typo.)

Somehow, this kid in my class (he’s really funny) managed to walk into this railing in the middle of the hall. (this is at the high school, keep in mind-not our school) He ripped his pants in the front, right down the center. It was no small rip. It was SO funny. Mrs. Gold was laughing too.She got him this gold fabric and made him a skirt. He took it well I think.  It was hilarious.

Then I had to do an “interview” thing with my partner in front of the class. It was embarrasing.

I was asked what I like to do in my spare time. I said reading and drawing, and of course they laughed. It wasn’t a mean sort of laugh. It was a of-course-she-said-that sort of laugh.

Then there was the sports question. I said fencing. My fate during our Romeo and Juliet unit is sealed for good. My teacher goes, “Oh good!  I’ve never had a fencer during Romeo and Juliet!” She wrote it down on her list. Nobody else had anything next to their name. But me? I’m done for. Permanetly labeled as a perfect demonstrator during Romeo and Juliet. Oh joy.

Oh well. I will survive.

If I make it through this weekend that is.

Which may not happen.

Actually, that wouldn’t mean much to me if I’m dead.

Well. Two days down, two to go.

Just for the record, that guy I mentioned is a bit of a jerk. I don’t really like him. There are better guys at church. (You can breathe again, Mom and Dad)

I like Orchestral Manouveres in the Dark. It’s a recent obsession. I am listening to it now. (Gotta love short, choppy sentences, right?)

I may post pictures as i have nothing better to do.

Hello.

This is Allie.

I am not sure what to say.

School is almost out! We don’t really have “real” school left. Tomorrow is “fun day” (its a day with a long and booooooooooooooooooooooooooooring assembly at the beginning of the day so classes are 20min or so and then you get to go play with some big blow up stuff for an hour or two. We call it Fun Hour. Or Boring Hour- that works too.)

Anyway, then i go to the  high school for two days to “preveiw” my schedule and stuff. Our school is probably TINY by other standards and we preview it for four days altogether. Most of us think that’s really just overkill. I mean, most people do just fine without that. But it means less “real” school, so who am I to complain?

Then the 8th graders go to Knoebels on Friday. That should be interesting. I have resolved to avoid rollercoasters.

Then we have the weekend. Yippee.

Finally, we have a half day (how MORONIC is that? and on a MONDAY of all days!) and we literally sign yearbooks and have a talent show. That’s always fairly fun.Definitely not enthralling, but a good way to end the year.

All in all, it seems like a waste. I may end up getting some rare disease and miss Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Then I will miraculously recover for Friday. And maybe feel pretty well on Monday. A  guy I like (just a little bit) is playing with his band in the talent show.( At least I think. They were waiting to audition outside the band room and that was awkward cause I was sitting right there with my big french horn and well yeah…) He’s the singer. I dunno if he’s any good, but the guitarist is really good much as I hate to admit it, and the drummer is pretty good too.  So I will recover in time for both Friday and Monday.

What else????????????

Oh yes.

I cut my hair.

I got layers and bangs.

And I flatly refuse to post pictures.

Its not horrible or anything.

I just won’t.

Just 4 1/2 days of school left. One is ‘Fun’ Day. 1/2 is the last day, where you never do anything. So more like 3.

So we’re reading Shakespeare’s plays in language arts. Well, after Romeo and Juliet, I was really hoping we would do a Midsummer Night’s Dream because that is my favorite Shakespeare play.

And on Friday, Mrs. Komlos announced that we would be doing two comedies.

And the first one was- a Midsummer Night’s Dream. I half shouted “I TOLD you” to my friends. Hermia was Julia- a good friend of mine. I really wanted to be Helena, but Gabby was. But I got to be Titania- and I’m glad. Although Oberon is an annoying boy and Bottom is a weird and annoying boy.

But so what? I’m Titania. I’m pretty sure we start tomorrow.

Although, if I had been Helena, I would’ve been in love with a very annoying kid playing Demetrius.

Yesterday I cut my hair. I like it short. Goodbye.

Yes, it is possible for me to post. I just don’t do it often. I dunno why.

I don’t know what there is to say. The Hunger Games movie is being cast. I check it constantly. Josh Hutcherson better be a darn good actor to make up for his looks. And don’t get me started on Liam Hemsworth. I’ll just say I’m furious and he looks like an ugly lion. Seriously, he looks exactly like a lion.If you don’t believe me, look him up. A lion. C’mon! Gale is supposed to be HOT! Not like a scruffy ugly big nosed freak!

Well, there’s nothing I can do. But they all better be superb actors. The only reason I didn’t keel over when I saw the cast list is that the author thought Josh Hutcherson caught the spirit of Peeta(love him) in his acting. But still. They’re all ugly.

Other stuff….

My mother and sister are at a loss right now trying to fathom my lack of directional skill. I still get lost in Lewisburg and have no idea what the roads are called after living here five years.  I informed them that my skills lie elsewhere, although where that is I have yet to find (jk:)

Well, life is going fine. 14 and 1/2 days of school. 21 days including weekends.

I CANNOT WAIT.

I can think of other stuff later. We are about to eat our bbq.

This is Camryn. I did get a Hunger Games shirt (mockingjay pin, juniors S, on sale) and it was only like $8.

The Wax Museum was yesterday. Mom curled my hair Thursday night with curlers and then when we took them out she did this fancy hairdo and put in a wide headband. I also wore a dress so big that every step I took I tripped and fell and this white shawl.

I am very glad it’s over. You had to sit still for about two hours.
