For better or worse, the soon-to-be baby has a nickname, and I guess an explanation is in order…
When we had the first ultrasound, the doctor was concerned that the due date was wrong because the baby was so small relative to her gestational age. Somehow, that little fact resulted in the nickname “snowball”. When the doctor mentioned how small the baby is, for some reason Susie and I both thought about the Seinfeld episode with the tiny dog.

In episode #67, “The Glasses”, George has his glasses stolen so he goes to one of Kramer’s friends in an attempt to get a 30 percent discount on a new pair. Kramer had broken the eye doctors addiction to sugar so he felt a debt of obligation was in order. Jerry, George, and Elaine go to the store to help George pick out some glasses. While there, a man with a dog enters the store and the dog bites Elaine when she tries to pet it. She leaves to go to the ER, and left to his own devices, George ends up unwittingly buying a pair of woman’s glasses. While he waits for them to arrive, he has to wear his prescription swim goggles.
